Picking The Best Airsoft Bucking And Barrel.
I'm looking to upgrade my AEG with some airsoft parts.  I currenly have an m4 with a barrel lenght of 360 somthing mm, and what I wanted to do was put a fake suppressor on it.  I was going to install a 510mm tightbore barrel, so I was going to get a 190mm suppressor for it.
Which tightbore barrel should I get. I've heard some good things about Prometheus barrels, and systema hop up bucking. Do you think they would be a good choice for me? Also, will I need metal one piece hop up as well?
I'm a little worried that my FPS (Feet Per Second) might drop if I install a longer precision inner barrel. I've heard people say it will sometimes, but I'm not sure. What do you think.
First I will address the issue of a drop in FPS. Basically, if you install a longer AEG barrel for your gun, you FPS may or may not drop. It will drop if your cylinder is not rated to take the length of your barrel. But, if it is rated to tak the length of your barrel, you FPS will not drop. So if you are getting a barrel that is 510mm in length, you cylinder needs to be rated to take that barrel.
Which Barrel Should You Purchase
Which barrel you should get will depend you. The Prometheus barrel you mentioned is a good barrel, but it is also very expensive. If you want an ecnomical barrel that will perform well, a vanaras barrel is the best choice. For a barrel that performs very similar to the Prometheus, Deep Fire is excellent. The Deep Fire tightbore is an excellent barrel and is much more inexpensive than the Prometheus barrel. If you have the money to spend on a Prometheus barre, go for it.
Which Bucking Should You Get
The hop up bucking you choose is going to make a difference. One I recommended is the SHS airsoft hop up bucking. It is a very affordable and high quality.
When you purchase these upgrades, get them from my recommended retailer. There a airsoft parts category is http://www.raptorsairsoft.com/airsoft-parts-upgrades.html. They have a variety of AEG parts available.

What Is An Airsoft Half Teeth Piston For
You may wonder what an airsoft half teeth piston is for. A half teeth piston is often used with helical gear sets. However, this is not always the case. Some flat gear sets use half teeth pistons, and some helical gears use full teeth pistons as well. So, before choosing the piston to use with your gears, make sure you know which one to purchase. You must use a half teeth piston when your sector gear teeth which mesh together with spur gear go out to far. If those sector gear teeth go out farther than the base of of the teeth that mesh together with the teeth of the piston, you need a half teeth piston. If you gear set does that be sure to purchase a half teeth piston and not a full teeth piston. Other wise you will strip your piston. If you would like to learn more about AEG airsoft pistons, you should read The Informative Guide To AEG Airsoft Pistons http://ping.fm/AAY6T . It talks more about half teeth pistons and has some pictures to help you better understand the concept. It also talks about the three airsoft piston materials (Aluminum, Polycarbonate, and Nylon) and which one is best. You will also learn about how many metal teeth your piston should have. As well as attributes that are related to your pistons performance. Attributes such as the guide rails, full rack excursion, how far the piston meshes with the sector gear, and its inner diameter. http://ping.fm/bS3Vh
